A portrait tells a thousand words
After years of Hult leading their annual prospectus with architectural shots of campuses on their covers, as Design Director I campaigned to bring real students to the forefront instead. After an initial series of cover portraits originally designed purely for print, the concept was so successful that we rolled it out on their website, and social channels. The collection continues to grow well beyond the initial four, now even in video.
The art direction aims to empower our students, define identity without any distraction. The ambition was to place the Hult community at the heart of the prospectus, with a sense of warmth or natural reportage.
The series was also able to change internal thinking about bringing more diversity and inclusivity to the covers, beyond race and gender.

With every year, I looked at further expanding the creative direction into video, different colour studies, accessories and expressions.
The covers are now a legacy at Hult with students waiting to be on the cover.
